With spring finally upon us, The Daisies' class welcomed some crawly critters into our space. The children explored Red Wiggler Worms, Meal Worms, Wax Worms and Blue Horned Caterpillars. They even touched a Hissing Madagascar Cockroach! The students used magnifying glasses, sticks, measuring tape, and their own eyes and hands to become little scientists. The class decided to draw their own bugs using white boards and markers. Later, they created realistic bugs using model magic, pipe cleaners, pom-poms and other art materials. The Daisies are continuing to learn more about insects in our environment. We've only just begun...
